Chelsea is a native Rhode Islander and grew up in the town of Scituate, RI.   She completed her undergraduate training, medical school, and pediatrics residency at Brown and is thrilled to remain here for fellowship.   Her research interest include psychosocial oncology and her current project is investigating concordance in medical team and caregiver evaluation of patient wellbeing for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and sickle cell disease.   Her clinical interests include solid tumors and the intersections of oncology and palliative care.    In her spare time, Chelsea is an animal lover (especially her cat Lily) and an avid fan of all things Disney. 

Cara McDavitt is a board-certified pediatrician completing her subspecialty training in pediatric hematology/oncology. She earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and completed her residency at Brown University Hasbro Children's Hospital. Dr. McDavitt is currently conducting research through Brown University in the Lawler Lab. Her research focuses on immune interactions in pediatric brain tumors and developing innovative therapies.
