Caitlin Fogarty, MD, PhD, completed her fellowship in 2023. Dr. Fogarty has accepted a position in Boston as a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Hospitalist.
Emily Vistica Sampino, MD, completed her fellowship in 2022. Dr. Sampino is currently an attending physician in The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Connecticut Children’s Hospital in Hartford, CT.
Robyn M. Borsuk, MD, MSc, completed her fellowship in 2021. Dr. Borsuk went on to perform an advanced fellowship in pediatric neuro-oncology at New York University/Langone.
Rebecca MacDonell Yilmaz, MD, MPH, completed her fellowship in 2020. Dr. MacDonell-Yilmaz is a Hospice & Palliative Medicine Physician at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI.
Nicole Muhlbauer, MD, MPH, completed her fellowship in 2019. Dr. Muhlbauer is currently an attending physician in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital in Stony Brook, New York.
Roma Bhuta, D.O, MPH, completed her fellowship in 2018, during which she obtained her Master’s in Public Health from Brown University School of Public Health. After completing fellowship, Dr. Bhuta joined the faculty at Brown University in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
Hamza Gorsi, MD, MPH, completed his fellowship at Brown University in 2017, during which time he obtained his Master’s in Public Health from Brown University School of Public Health. Dr. Gorsi went on to perform an advanced fellowship in pediatric neuro-oncology in San Diego, CA. He is currently Assistant professor of Pediatrics, Wayne State University School of Medicine, Division of Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit, MI.
Daniel Callaway, MD, MPH, completed his fellowship at Brown University in 2017, during which time he obtained his Master’s in Public Health from Brown University School of Public Health. Dr. Callaway is currently practicing at Northern Lights Pediatric Cancer Center in Brewer, ME.
Katherine Scott, MD MPH, completed her fellowship at Brown University in 2015, during which time she obtained her Master’s in Public Health from the Brown University School of Public Health. Dr. Scott is Director of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis and Sickle Cell Programs at Waters Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders in Syracuse, NY.
Bradley DeNardo, MD, completed fellowship at Brown University in 2014, during which time he pursued basic science and translational research interests focusing on neuroblastoma tumorigenesis and chemotherapy-induced neurotoxicity. After completing fellowship, Dr. DeNardo joined the faculty at Brown University in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
Nadine Sauer, MD, MPH, completed fellowship at Brown University in 2013, during which time she obtained her Master’s in Public Health from the Brown University School of Public Health. Dr. Sauer completed an advanced fellowship in pediatric neuro-oncology at Boston Children's Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. She is a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at Northern Lights Pediatric Cancer Center in Brewer, ME.
Preeya Desh, MD, completed fellowship at Brown University in 2012. In 2019, Dr. Desh finished a fellowship at Columbia University for Palliative Care and is working for Vitas Health in West Palm Beach, Florida. She has also started and runs a nonprofit called Wabi Sabi Health Foundation that partners with hospitals in India to develop Palliative Care programs, emphasizing psychosocial care, along with medical care to the seriously and terminally ill.
Ayman Samkari, MD, completed fellowship at Brown University in 2011. He then completed a one-year advanced fellowship in pediatric neuro-oncology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is Director of Clinical Research at Merck Research Laboratory in Greater Philadelphia Area.
Niccole Piguet, MD, MPH, fellowship at Brown University in 2010 during which time she obtained a Master’s in Public Health from the Brown University School of Public Health. She is currently a pediatric hematology/oncology attending at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia.
Michael Kelly, MD, MPH, completed fellowship at Brown University in 2009, during which time he obtained a Master’s in Public Health from the Brown University School of Public Health. He is currently working in clinical drug development as a Medical Director at Syros Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, MA. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Jennifer Greene Welch, MD completed her fellowship training at Brown University in 2008. Following fellowship, Dr. Welch remained at Brown as a faculty member in pediatric hematology/oncology.
Joel Kaplan, DO, MPH, completed fellowship at Brown University in 2007, during which time he obtained a master’s in public health from the Brown University School of Public Health. Following fellowship, he joined Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC where he currently practices in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
Carla McCrave, MD, completed fellowship at Brown University in 2006. She then completed a one-year advanced fellowship in pediatric bone marrow transplant at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. McGrave is currently practicing pediatric hematology/oncology in Riverview, Florida.
Giselle Sholler, MD, completed fellowship at Brown University in 2005. She is a nationally known researcher in neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma. Dr. Sholler is currently the director of the Haworth Family Pediatric Oncology Innovative Therapeutics Clinic at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. She is also chair of the Neuroblastoma and Medulloblastoma Translational Research Consortium.
Peter Manley, MD completed fellowship at Brown University in 2004. He then completed a one-year advanced fellowship in pediatric neuro-oncology at Boston Children's Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He is working at Pfizer in Cambridge, MA.
